Our Team

Mr. Burdick graduated with honors from the University of Wyoming, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.  In 1994, he received the Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Wyoming College of Business.  He holds a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certificate from the State of Colorado and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants.

After graduating from the University in 1974, Mr. Burdick began his career in the audit department of Price Waterhouse and was later appointed Audit Manager.  In 1981, he joined Bow Valley Petroleum, Inc., a large independent oil and gas company headquartered in Denver.  Mr. Burdick served as Bow Valley Petroleum’s Controller until 1983 when he left to form his own practice in Indiana and Colorado.  In 1984, he merged his accounting practice with B&A.

Mr. Burdick has extensive experience in taxation, auditing, and accounting, as well as in management advisory and planning services.  He has represented companies in industries such as oil and gas, real estate, wholesale distribution, and retail.

Ms. Burdick received her Bachelor of Arts degree, Cum Laude with Honors, from Loyola University Maryland in 2002, where she received the Presidential Scholarship and was a member of the Honors Program, Dean’s List, and Sigma Tau Delta Honor Society. She obtained her Juris Doctor degree in 2005 from the University of Denver, where she was awarded the Sam and Freda Davis Scholarship and the DU Law Scholarship. Ms. Burdick is licensed to practice law in Colorado and Utah. She holds a CPA certificate from the State of Colorado and is a member of the AICPA and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants. Kellie serves as the treasurer on the Board of Directors of Family Star, which serves children and families across the economic spectrum in a respectful and empowering community. Kellie worked for B&A from 1997 to 2005, and she again joined our staff in 2011. Ms. Burdick has experience in taxation, auditing, and accounting in industries such as oil and gas, real estate, closely held companies, and personal service companies.

Ms. Gonzalez is a Colorado native who recently graduated from Adams State University in 2021, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting and minor in economics and Spanish. She plans to further her education to eventually earn her CPA certificate in the state of Colorado. Luz is excited to gain experience and expertise in accounting within the firm.

Devin Hister

Staff Accountant

Mr. Hister is an Army Veteran, serving both in Active Duty and the National Guard. Originally a native to Michigan, Devin graduated from Wayne State University in 2022 with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, with a major in Accounting. Devin continued his education upon graduation and earned his Master’s of Science in Accounting from Wayne State University the following year, 2023, with a concentration in Financial reporting and Auditing. Having gained experience in both public and private accounting, Devin aims to begin his commitment towards CPA licensure in Colorado in the near future.

Mrs. McBroom received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina, Kansas where she was both a President’s and Dean’s Honor Student.  Cindy holds a CPA certificate from the State of Colorado and is a member of the AICPA and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants.  Cindy has been a part of the practice at B&A since she relocated to Denver from the Chicago area in 2002.  She has gained significant experience in the areas of taxation and accounting with such diverse industries as oil and gas, distribution, construction, and real estate.

Mr. Muller recently graduated from University of Toledo in 2023, where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration, with a focus in Accounting. He plans to further his education to eventually earn a CPA certificate in the State of Colorado and is eager to gain accounting experience and expertise within the firm.

Mr. Richardson received a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Marketing from Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2011. After five years of working in the financial industry, Jeff decided to continue his education and pursue an accounting career. He holds a CPA certificate from the State of Colorado and is a member of the AICPA and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants. Jeff joined B&A in 2015 and has gained invaluable experience in both audit and taxation.

Mrs. Williams received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado, where she double majored in Accounting and Business Administration and was a member of the Honors Program 2002-2004 and the Delta Sigma Pi Professional Fraternity. She holds a CPA certificate from the State of Colorado and is a member of the AICPA and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants. Theresa has been a part of the practice at B&A since 2006.
